Domestic and Family Violence within the contemporary Indigenous experience
Tuesday August 31st and Wednesday September 1st Bendigo
This training is being delivered via the Homelessness Assistance and Community Housing Calendar through the Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE (BRIT). It is based on training which has previously been run and has been tailored especially for you, Loddon Mallee Homelessness Assistance and Community Housing staff. This two day workshop will offer an understanding of what Domestic/Family Violence is, especially within the context of the contemporary Indigenous Australian experience. Barriers which might present to Indigenous Australians accessing mainstream services will be expolored. Participants will have an opportunity to hear and interact with local Indigenous Elders.
The cost is $77.00 for the two days (includes GST).
9:30 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday 31st August and Wednesday September 1st.
